A Culinary Gem at Disney's Riviera Resort: Topolino's Terrace
I visited Topolino's Terrace for dinner the first week the restaurant opened in December 2019. This French and Italian cuisine restaurant has a great atmosphere, delicious food, beautiful views, and as my mom says, the best steak she's ever had!
Topolino's Terrace is located at one of Disney's newest (& 15th vacation club) resort hotels, Disney's Riviera Resort. Inspired by Walt & Lillian Disney's European travels, Topolino's Terrace offers wonderful rooftop views and fine dining. The word "Topolino" is actually the Italian name for Mickey Mouse (what a hidden Mickey)!
Topolino's Terrace, A Taste of France and Italy
Our table was located near the terrace entrance, tempting me to go outside and take in the view, but I decided to wait until after the meal. The dinner began with complimentary bread with two olive oils. One was traditional Italian olive oil and the other, which was my favorite, was a black fruity French oil. The Reserve Jean Reno French olive oil was so delicious that I've since purchased three bottles to enjoy with meals at home.
Culinary Highlights at Topolino's Terrace
For my entrée, I ordered the Linguine Scampi from the 'Hand-Crafted Pasta' menu section. This dish consists of full shrimp with head, San Marzano tomatoes, garlic, lemon, Italian olive oil, verbena, and bottarga and is topped with flaky cheese. I really enjoyed my food and until I eat a better version, Topolino's Terrace's Linguine Scampi is my favorite.
All of my family members ordered the Filet Mignon which is served with truffle mashed potatoes, charred torpedo onions, forest mushroom purée, and a vinaigrette. My mom said the steak melted in her mouth and she has yet to enjoy filet mignon better than what Topolino Terrace serves.
The menu also offers dishes such as Rigatoni with braised chicken sugo, Braised Lamb Shank, Tomahawk Veal Chop, King Salmon mi-cuit, and so much more.
A Scenic Finale
Topolino's Terrace offers a variety of tasty options, and one of our favorites is the Creme Brule. This creamy custard dish features a caramel glaze, berries, and candy toppings.
After dessert, we made our way outside to the rooftop. The view is beautiful! You can see the resort and pool area below and even the outlines of Orlando. Even if you don't dine at Topolino's Terrace, exploring Disney's Riviera Resort is fun. Topolino's Terrace earns a number three spot on the list of my favorite Disney restaurants!
